Cheshunt Great House was the manor house of Andrews, it was built in the 15th century and was owned by Cardinal Wolsey from 1519 to 1529. The house was encased in red brick from 1750 and was destroyed by fire in 1965.
The crypt and moat were conserved by the Greater London Council.

The parish church of St.Mary the Virgin was built in 1418, on the site of an early church. The south chapel was extended during 1872-3
